National Bike Month
May is National Bike Month and the League of American Bicyclists is promoting Bike-to-Work Week this week, May 12-16. After 50 years and $5 billion set aside by SAFETEA-LU in a transportation bill for bicycling, National Bike Month is celebrated across the United States. To commemorate the event, American Bicyclist published 50 ways every citizen can celebrate. You can do anything from ride your bike with your child to school to renting a bicycling movie. Check the League website for all 50 ideas.
