To celebrate both the recovering economic climate and the newly branded CHESCOBUS system, the Transportation Management Association of Chester County (TMACC) will host an “Access to Jobs” fair on November 5, 2014 in Kennett Square. The job fair, planned to highlight the array of employment opportunities from Oxford to Kennett Square, PA along the CHESCOBUS SCCOOT route, will bring together employers and job seekers alike.
“We’ve been operating the SCCOOT bus for over a decade,” says TMACC Executive Director P. Tim Phelps, “TMACC feels it’s time to rebrand and recraft the bus to make it more accessible to Southern Chester County residents. The job fair will highlight the wide variety of businesses available to commuters using the SCCOOT bus.” The new CHESCOBUS brand will encompass both the SCCOOT and the Coatesville LINK bus, and operating schedules will be available at the easy to remember website, chescobus.com. Hard copy schedules will also be available throughout Southern and Western Chester County at businesses and bus stop locations.
The new buses will be a distinctive green color, will be marked on the marquis, and will operate Monday – Saturday schedules, connecting Oxford to West Chester’s Transportation Center and Coatesville to Parkesburg.
Organizations whose business development allows for employees to take public transit will benefit from the Wednesday, November 5th job fair. The event runs from 10am-2pm in the Red Clay Room in Kennett Square, PA which is adjacent to Stop 59 (located at Cypress St. & Dalmation St. Northbound Only and State St. & Race St. Southbound Only) on the CHESCOBUS SCCOOT route. All companies and all area residents are invited to attend, whether or not they utilize the public transit system.
