East Whiteland, PA – The Transportation Management Association of Chester County (TMACC) has announced the addition of Velofix to their growing list of members. Velofix is TMACC’s first mobile Bike Shop Member.
Velofix is a non-traditional bike shop in that it is a mobile-only bike shop. There is no physical store and the mobile shop goes to the cyclists to do repairs and service. “Most of our clients are busy people with packed schedules. We want their free time to be filled with cycling, not waiting for their bike to be repaired.” said local Velofix Owner, Justin Brundage. “I wanted to do something that was convenient for the cyclist. So while you’re working or running errands we come to you and repair or tune your bicycle without ever bothering you.”
Velofix decided to partner with TMACC because of their presence in the Chester County cycling community. “TMACC has a great mission of promoting cycling as a form of transportation. They host multiple events to foster the community of cyclists here [in Chester County] and they help recreational cyclists make the move to riding as a form of transportation,” said Brundage. “It was easy to support them.”
TMACC is a non-profit whose mission is to activate, foster and facilitate cooperation between the public and private sectors of Chester County to identify, evaluate, and analyze significant transportation issues and to recommend solutions that reduce congestion and improve air quality.
