It is essential to the healthcare sector that its workforce have consistent and reliable commuting options. National surveys and studies reveal that frontline workers and hospital staff are among the population of people who have limited access to reliable personal transportation to and from work, and incur longer commutes.
Health Care Connect (HCC), an initiative of the Chester County Economic Development Council, launched a Chester County transportation study of their members. The goal of the Health Care Connect Transportation Study sought to classify commuting habits, public transit availability, and TDM solutions for the diverse group of employees that make up the healthcare industry in Chester County. The objective was to help healthcare facilities identify study to identify commuting options for their members’ workforce.
