The Transportation Management Association of Chester County (TMACC) with its members and partners once again showed their appreciation to the men and women veterans who have served our great nation.

Through the Foundation for the Improvement of Transportation (FIT), TMACC helped to coordinate another successful annual holiday gift drive for the veterans of the Coatesville VA (Veterans Affairs). The items generously donated by its member firms and partners will make a difference in someone’s life.

“TMACC is proud to donate much-needed supplies to those veterans transitioning into permanent housing. With member, partner, and community support, these donations will supply bedding, towels, appliances, and other essential household items to help to reduce the out-of-pocket expenses to furnish an apartment,” said Tim Phelps, Executive Director of TMACC, “but more importantly helps create a home.”

The Coatesville VA is a major stop along the Coatesville Link, a bus service run by TMACC. Many veterans are riders of the Link, and this gift drive gives TMACC, its members, and partners, a connection to the veterans, and an opportunity to give back locally.
